SUMMARY:Climate Camp Éire 2026 - Co. Clare
DESCRIPTION:CLIMATE CAMP will run for 3 days from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 Augu
 st 2026\n\nThis year the camp will be based in Clare and will focus on the
  Shannon Basin - connecting the struggles against US military use of Shann
 on airport\, LNG terminals\, data centre expansion\, mining and water extr
 action from the shannon.\n\nWe will focus on shared learning and building 
 a movement that connects the themes of environmental justice\, anti-milita
 rism and anti-imperialism - and together act to build community and resist
 ance.\n\nWe want this camp to be a collective effort\, where attendees are
 n’t consumers but active participants in the running of the camp - helpi
 ng create an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual care.\n\nHolding that kin
 d of space requires commitment and intentionality\, and so the camp will b
 e shaped slightly differently than the previous ones\, namely:\n\n 	Indivi
 dual registration is required to help us plan and organise the camp. The 
 location and further details will be shared only with people who register.
 \n 	The workshops will build on each other - moving from inspiration\, sh
 aring skills/experience to planning for strategy and concrete actions in t
 he region. We ask that everyone try to attend/stay for the full 3 days if 
 they can. People living locally are welcome to drop in and out.\n 	We aim 
 to have an alcohol and drug free camp. We will of course still have an ev
 ening programme of ceol agus craic. We want this to be an inclusive space 
 for all and therefore this is a request/guidance and not something that ne
 eds to be enforced. We understand that what is inclusive for one person ma
 y exclude another\, so we ask people to act responsibly and respectfully.\
 n 	No dogs - it is a farm with livestock and its own motley crew of dogs 
 - it is not appropriate this time unfortunately.\n 	Camping will be organ
 ised into little groups (called Cumanns). We hope these cumanns will serve
  as a short term community for the people in it. They will work together a
 nd support with the delivery of tasks necessary for everyone to participat
 e and enjoy the camp.\n 	Meitheal - There will be tasks for people/cumman
 s to sign up to that make the camp run (kitchen\, waste\, parking\, welcom
 ing\, care etc).\n 	Children - Children are more than welcome to the camp
 ! Like in previous camps\, a tent/space will be designated for children\, 
 young people and parents to self-organize. Depending on the capacity of pa
 rticipants\, workshops may be delivered during the week-end.\n\nAs usual t
 he following will be offered :\n\n 	3 vegan meals a day (donation based) -
  note it is not a vegan kitchen and dairy will be optional\n 	Collective m
 orning meeting to introduce and start the day\n 	Evening programme of acti
 vities including bonfire and sing-songs\n 	Keep an eye on the website for
