By volunteering\, you play a direct role in making sus tainability accessible and enjoyable for families. You’ll help create mo ments where children discover “new” toys and parents experience the ea se and joy of sustainable living.\n\nMake a Real\, Visible Impact\nAt ever y event\, you can see the difference you’re making. From organising toy swap areas to assisting with our various stations\, your contribution help s create a smooth\, joyful experience for attendees. Each Swap&\;Play c oncludes with a social impact report where volunteers can see in real numb ers the tangible impact of the day! Each toy rehomed is one less item goin g to landfill\, and you’re part of that impact.\n\nFeel Supported Every Step of the Way\nWe make sure you feel confident and prepared before the e vent even begins. Volunteers are supported by an Event Manager who will gu ide you through everything you need to know. You’ll be added to a dedica ted WhatsApp group for easy communication with the full volunteer team\, m aking it simple to stay informed and connected.\n\nBefore the event\, you ’ll also be invited to a short volunteer Zoom call. This is a great chan ce to meet the Event Manager\, a member of The Toy Library team\, and your fellow volunteers. You’ll learn more about the event\, get clarity on y our role\, and have the opportunity to ask any questions\, so you arrive f eeling ready\, comfortable\, and part of the team.\n\nExperience the Energ y of a Live Event\nEach Swap&\;Play event is a lively\, well-organised experience. Volunteers are involved in:\n\n Setup (30 mins - 1 hour befor e): Preparing stations\, organising toys\, and getting everything ready fo r families to arrive.\n Live Event (anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on event style): Volunteers will be assigned a role before the event\, suppor ting check-in\, check-out\, toy check\, managing the toy swap area\, assis ting activity stations like Eco Crafting\, the Teddy Bear Hub\, or the Eco tattoo station.\n Clean-Up (30mins - 1 hour after): Packing up\, sorting toys\, and leaving the venue tidy.\n\nThis hands-on involvement gives you a full behind-the-scenes experience of a successful community event.\n\nG row Your Skills and Confidence\nVolunteering offers practical experience i n teamwork\, event coordination\, communication\, interpersonal skills\, a nd problem-solving.
