Rain & Wild began as a way to create candles that don’t cost the Earth. I spent countless hours researching waxes, oils, packaging, and the sustainability credentials of my suppliers. Candles are my passion, but I was never going to do this if I couldn’t be sure that somewhere in my supply chain, a rainforest wasn’t being uprooted to plant crops (soy, I’m looking at you!).
But more than not doing harm, I truly wanted to somehow improve the world we live in – to have an Earth Positive impact.
As an avid gardener and lover of nature, I felt it was important to try in some small way to help create a landscape that benefits our pollinators; bees, butterflies, and all the rest! Rain & Wild candles come with a mini packet of wildflower seeds, and it is my dream that these candles will do their part in improving the biodiversity in Ireland. If you pop by at one of my market days, feel free to grab some seeds, I’ve plenty!
