Our Story
Here’s the backstory
What we hope you’ll find
Along the way, you'll find ideas, inspiration, and opportunities that help you reconnect with your community, with nature, and with the sense of hope that comes from doing things together again. By participating or donating, you're also helping reforest Ireland one native tree at a time through our partnership with Reforest Nation, so your action has an impact on both the planet and the collective.
What we’re about
Our Earthy Collective was created with one simple belief: real change happens when people come together. We're a not-for-profit, community-built platform designed to make sustainability feel human again.

Meet the team
Lorna Anne Tierney — Founder
I founded Our Earthy Collective because when the news feels overwhelming and the world feels out of control, gathering together reminds us that hope and change are possible.
Our platform is free and community-led, connecting people across Ireland to meet great folks, support local businesses, share or pick up pre-loved items, check out events, and get stuck into projects that make a real difference.
My journey started in science, but over the years, my curiosity and love for people and the planet led me to build projects that reflect my values. From The Earthy Marketplace to EarthyVA supporting businesses and organisations I believe in. I've learned the power of community, collaboration, and taking action. Those lessons are at the heart of Our Earthy Collective.
I'm a vegan, a nature lover, and an optimist at heart. I truly believe that connection, curiosity, and shared effort are keys to tackling the big challenges we face.
When I'm not building the Collective, you'll find me exploring wild places, leading social hikes, chasing new ideas, or finding fun ways to bring people together to do good for the planet and each other.
Rakshitha Ravikumar
Software Developer
Rakshitha Ravikumar works behind the scenes as a software developer, building simple and reliable digital solutions that support the vision of Our Earthy Collective.
She deeply cares about animals and the environment, and believes that small, thoughtful actions can create a meaningful and lasting impact.
Guided by empathy and responsibility, she focuses on creating technology that feels humane, purposeful, and respectful of both people and the planet.
James Kimber
Social Media Manager
I support Our Earthy Collective as Social Media Manager, helping bring the collective's message and values to life online in a clear and thoughtful way.
Through my business, KimberCore Solutions, I work with purpose-driven brands to communicate with clarity and authenticity, using storytelling and consistent communication to build trust and connection.
Outside of work, I have a deep love for sport, wellness, and nature. Being vegan, I value living in a way that respects the environment, and I spend much of my time outdoors enjoying adventures, sea swims, and sauna sessions.
Katherine Williams
Community Support Manager
I help Our Earthy Collective behind the scenes, supporting the community to grow, helping with outreach, operations, and whatever else needs doing. I believe small actions, shared together, can make a big difference.
Through my business, Mindful Tech Studio, I provide tech and operations support to conscious small businesses.
A nature lover at heart, I fill my life with experiences, connections, and simple living. You'll often find me hiking, wild swimming, upcycling, or rewilding little corners for nature.
Laura Belton — Copywriter
I bring Our Earthy Collective's communications to life, writing website copy and shaping the style and tone you see here. Through my copywriting business I support ethically minded businesses with their messaging and creative direction.
I'm passionate about the power of nature to support our wellbeing — from forest walks to learning about native herbs. I believe that working together in community is the best way to make lasting change without feeling totally overwhelmed.
When I'm not at my laptop, you'll find me painting, hiking in the mountains, running, or exploring the forests with my two children.
Elizabeth (Lizzy) Browne
OEC Event Support &
Resident Herbalist in Training
I'm part of the OEC team, helping to support our community events such as The Big Vegan Hikes. I love bringing people together, celebrating nature, and creating spaces where we can connect, learn, and take action for the planet.
I'm a vet nurse, a vegan, and a herbalist in training, passionate about plants as medicine, animals, and sustainable living. As I grow with the Collective, I'm excited to support more events and eventually host workshops and gatherings of my own, sharing my knowledge and love of nature with the community.
When I'm not working with animals, you'll find me supporting community climate action groups, foraging and learning about plants, or just enjoying the great outdoors.
