What We Do
Here at Cork Zero Waste, we do a lot to make the place we call home a sustainable one.
We’ve organised a number of events as part of our work, we’ve organised a number of different events themed around zero waste and sustainability, from clothes swaps to a zero waste walking tour of Cork and a sustainable Christmas market, all with the aim of building awareness around consumption, management of our waste, and educating individuals on the impact their daily decisions have on society.
What YOU can do
Every day, you have the decision to positively impact the city and our planet. ‘Zero Waste’ as a concept is about creating a circular economy; instead of discarding resources, we create a system where all resources can be resumed fully back into the system. Recycling isn’t a perfect solution; the aim is to send nothing to a landfill. Reduce what we need, reuse as much as we can, send little to be recycled, and compost what we cannot.
