Fauna is a sustainable Irish brand serving you fun, colourful organic clothing since 2015. Fauna is inspired by nature, expressed through our bold illustrations. Founded by artist & NCAD graduate Nadia, a proud member of CIFD – Council of Irish Fashion Designers, The Institute of Designers Ireland (IDI) and the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI). Our beloved brand was born through our love for the traditional screen printing process. We are the first and still the only sustainable Irish kids brand to screen print in-house, and it is our passion. We offer bespoke print options to our customers, and our creative process can be watched online. We also offer a beautiful, eco-friendly baby gift box service. We support Reforest Nation, Ireland’s leading organisation for the establishment of diverse native forests.

Our garments are made from organic cotton & our allover prints are created in an Okeo Tex certified factory. The inks I use and have always used are completely water-based serigraphic ink. They do not contain solvents. Contrary to other textile inks, they do not contain formaldehyde & emit no toxic gases during fixation. They do not contain heavy metals or noxious pigments and contain no PVC. I mix my colours in small batches so there will be variations between garment prints, but that’s what hand-printing is. It’s not mass-produced, so it’s more special. They are printed to last wash after wash and intended to be passed on.
